Are You a Zombie Deprived of Sleep suffering Insomnia?

By Werner Boersch

Many people living in modern industrial societies suffer from a chronic and worsening sleep deficit/sleep disorder or insomnia. For most of us today, an average of nine hours sleep each night is an impossible dream caused from Insomnia.
It’s true that some of us really do need only five or six hours of sleep each night, but those people are in a minority. Most of us require seven, eight, or even more hours of good quality sleep every night in order to function at our best intellectually, physically and emotionally.

In sleep deprivation experiments conducted on volunteers, has been found that even a few days of sleep loss produce a marked negative effect on a person’s mental abilities.
Chronic insomnia is an extremely common problem today suffered by many millions of people and, while an increasing number of people do look for an insomnia cure, a substantial proportion of sufferers simply choose to live with the condition and merely adjust their lifestyle accordingly.

But could this be storing up problems for the future?

Ignoring Insomnia Today Could Lead To Problems Of Anxiety Tomorrow!

In a recent and extensive study researchers have been studying the problem of chronic insomnia and both anxiety and depression in a group of people. The study would appear to indicate that, in general terms, chronic insomnia appears first and over time in many cases leads to anxiety disorder.

So just what does this mean?

A persistent insomnia going on not simply for a matter of days, or even a week or two, but for several weeks and months is that we need to be concerned about when we talk in terms of chronic insomnia or sleep disorder.

Music can be beneficial to people suffering from depression, anxiety and insomnia. It has also been proved to have a positive effect on people who are seriously ill in hospital.

Research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche. In fact, there's a growing field of health care known as Music Therapy, which uses music to heal. Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients, children with ADD, and even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management.

Research has also shown that certain music can stimulate brainwaves to resonate in sync with the beat - a slower tempo promoting a calm, relaxed state. Calm time takes this process much further, by enabling your brainwaves to progress from gentle relaxation through to deeper states of calmness.

Using Meditation induced from brainwave music to trigger this wonderful natural effect will release hormones and neurotransmitters that flood your body and mind with pure, cleansing relaxation.

Here’s what scientists know happens during simple alpha meditation:

* Increase in attention focusing, and emotional balance.
* An increase in norepinephrin, serotonin levels.
* A decrease in blood lactate levels.
* An increase in beta-endorphin levels.
* Enhance the immune system.
* Reduce stress.

Remember that all of these conditions of insomnia or sleep disorder, anxiety can be treated naturally and there is no need to worry about the possibility of having to take sleeping pills and other drugs for either anxiety or depression. In the vast majority of cases, and certainly if caught early enough, changes to your lifestyle and diet are often all that is necessary to have you right in no time at all.
